Will We See You… this Summer?

Hello, summer!! This means that the kids are out of school and ready to rock! The minions over at Infrared HQ are busy making preparations for our gig at the great, great HOUSE OF GUITARS this Saturday, June 3rd. Finally! We’ve got a lot of surprises planned for that day, including a special appearance by a certain someone…

But, just because summer has semi-officially started does not mean that you cannot catch us live! The Infrared Radiation Orchestra WILL be appearing at FLANNEL FEST in beautiful downtown Springwater, NY. The location? Wetmore Road. The date and time? Friday, September 21st @ 9:00 PM! Plus if you (and/or us) are lucky, there is a (slight) possibility that we will be on the bill the following night, September 22nd!

Squa Tront, true believers…  BTW Apple Polisher in charge Big Ditch Stan the Man has been slaving away at the digital grindstone getting SUMUS QUOD SUMUS ready for its close up. We won’t go as far to call it our Sgt Pepper, but at the very least it is our Dr. Pepper!

PLUS! In the very near future, thanks to the fine folks @ Landr.com, we hope to get the entire IRO catalog on line for those folks who don’t have CD players. Imagine that, a world without physical media! Who’da thunk it?

Stop The Presses! Important IRO Update!

The new Infrared Radiation Orchestra release is almost done. After much deliberation, it will be entitled HOT ROD FULL OF EYEBALLS and is scheduled for a Summer release! The band is done with the recording, and ace recording engineer Paul Nolan is pretty well done with the mixing. Once again, our crack webmaster Stan Merrell (is that boy back on the crack?) is working with top-notch artist  Andrew Mosher on the packaging. We hope to have the new release MASTERED and sent off to the manufacturer ASAP!

Oh, and lest we forget we have scheduled these upcoming gigs to further work you into a lather or a tizzy (whichever comes first!)

New Infrared CD in the works!

We are currently working on our 5th CD. Released simultaneously with the new CD will be a comic book created by Andrew Mosher and yours truly. The new CD will contain songs about – and partially written by – an old band I was in called The Gurls and the mad genius who led that band, Gary Quasar. The comic book details The Gurls’ one and only show and the arrests that resulted. The comic book will be a VERY LIMITED EDITION. Please reserve your copy now if you want one. We intend to print the number ordered + 20 !!!!
